OFFICIAL BTCC APP HAS YOU COVERED

A number of new features are now live on the official Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship App, providing fans with the opportunity to gain further insight into the series over the course of the 2020 season.

Having introduced fresh video content onto the app during the off-season as part of the ‘Race Day with a Difference’ series, the Donington Park season opener saw the launch of a new addition to the BTCC’s weekend coverage with a series of short driver interviews exclusive to app users.

The likes of Colin Turkington, Ash Sutton, Dan Cammish and Rory Butcher all featured across the weekend, providing additional insight into their race weekends exclusively for app users.

These driver interviews will now form a key part of race weekends across the remainder of the campaign, particularly on Saturdays, and provide users with additional content while the COVID-19 restrictions are preventing fans from attending race events to catch the action first hand.

Alongside the new video coverage, Donington Park also saw a successful trial of a new live blog facility within the app, featuring text updates from the paddock across the weekend.

The blog facility will return this weekend at Brands Hatch GP and will remain in place for the whole 2020 season; providing further opportunity to grab snippets of information that aren’t available across our other channels, whilst you can also listen to the LIVE audio commentary of every session throughout the weekend.

Finally, the 2020 ‘FanCam’ is also now live to provide you with the chance to share images of how you are following the racing action with your fellow fans – see link for some examples from Donington Park last weekend.

We’ll be sharing some of the best FanCam images on our social media channels across the season, so keep an eye out to see if you are chosen to appear.

The FanCam is available across the season from the Raceday section of the official BTCC app, which is where you’ll also find video content across each of the remaining eight race weekends.
