Circuit Biography

Largely renowned as the Home of British Motor Racing, Silverstone is one of the most famous racing circuits in the world and adding the International layout to the BTCC calendar brings exciting new opportunities for touring car action.

Unlike other circuits such as Brands Hatch – where the Grand Prix configuration uses sections of the Indy layout – Silverstone National and International are completely independent of one another. The result being that even the most experienced drivers and technicians will be lacking knowledge and data for this event. The addition of this layout will prove the efficiency of the teams and their ability to adapt to something completely new.
