A former British Superbike Championship racer, Warren Scott switched from two wheels to four when he joined the BTCC in 2013 with his self-run Team BMR Restart, campaigning a Super 2000 SEAT León in the Jack Sears Trophy over the opening half of the campaign.
Team BMR Restart joined forces with Team HARD during the championship’s mid-summer break, seeing Scott complete the year in an NGTC Volkswagen CC. With the squad rebranded as Chrome Edition Restart Racing for 2014, the team owner remained on the driving front in a Vauxhall Insignia before another mid-season switch to VW machinery.
Now the boss of one of the biggest teams on the grid, Scott tempted double BTCC champions Colin Turkington and Jason Plato into the fold in 2015, propelling Team BMR to Teams’ and Independent Drivers’ Championship glory. For 2016, Warren remains both at the helm and behind the wheel as the squad switches to the new Subaru Levorg GT in a manufacturer-backed effort.
