It's been hinted at by Colin, that there could be a 'team Mcrae'. Which would consist of himself and his brither Alistar. It look more probable, but getting £5million and a sponser won't be easy.

Mcrae still believe's he can do well, and he said he doesn't want to leave the WRC. But £5m! Mcrae has earned 6million out of Citroen, but £million for just one year will be tough to get.

There has also been no dicussion of what car would be used, but maybe the old Pug 206 which is being retired at the end of the year? There are big bets on a Subaru...Team Mcare in Subaru's........Please please happen!:D

Yep I'd agree with that wish list - would be good. But won't be holing my breath. He seems keen to pursuade a scottish company to invest a lot of cash - I haven't had any ideas who that might be.

Another point to consider - Colin must be loaded, Subaru, Ford an Citroen works drives plus numerous computer games - I'd like to see him put his own cash into it then there's an added incentive to perform.

I personally think the idea of running a 3rd works Subaru might be a more likely option for him. Needs to pay Prodrive for the drive as it wouldn't be able to use him to score points but either way you think of McRae and more of than not you think of him driving in his days at Subaru.

However it is financed/engineered a privateer Mcrae team is a must. Even with younger people of the high quality of, Martin and Loeb, the WRC is worse off without Colin. I'm a big, big fan of Richard Burns, but after the Sam Remo I felt a bit short changed. I hope Dave Richards et al can swing something involving Colin Mcrae.

There's no justice in this world. McRae - the reason why I watch the WRC and Rovenpara still in a works Pug drive!!!

I hope he comes back with his own team and kicks the works team tiny butts, and also beat the ginger whiner. :D Solberg's gonna get him next year at Subaru anyway.

Somehow I can't see the most well known rally driver in the WRC and UK etc being unable to get some sponsorship together. I'm sure there are a few companies who'd jump at the chance of sponsoring the McRae's!

If possible, I reckon they ought too. Would add an interesting mix to the WRC.

There is a small article in Autosport saying that he has been driving someones GT2 in preparation for a race at Rockingham next month.

That should be good (and he was apparently very quick in practise).

That's probably for the Winter Series race on 1st November then, as there's a 1 hour Porsche race. Will probably be behind the camera lens for that one...
