Hi Alan, I've recently got into touring cars, as of last season and it is without doubt one of the best things on the telly for any sports fan. The drama of last seasons finale would have captured anyones attention who had been given a smidge of background. The underlying grudge matches and driver and team histories are nearly as compelling as the racing.
Why is it not more popular and widely advertised. I only started watching after flicking through channels and stumbling on it, this is after being a follower back in the late 80s early 90s. I honestly didn't realise it still existed and would have been supporting much earlier. I now have my younger brother hooked and am spreading the word. It also took me a great deal of time to find somewhere I could bet on the races.
Please do not take my comments as any form of criticism I'm just a keen supporter who would love the sport to be more widely received.
I was at Thruxton for my first live race this weekend and my family and I had the best day.
Thanks for your hard work.
