Good stuff indeed - I can't admit to watching it all but what I did see of it was up to the usual standard. Managed to fit in a sprint for the last 9 laps too didn't they?
Noted that John Cleland doesn't change!!!:D
Also saw a chap called John Russell interviewed (team manager for FDR?) - he designed the Renault Laguna which Williams ran in the BTCC!He then worked for a couple of F1 teams I believe. I was wondering what happened to him.:)
Thinks - these SCV8 things, what chance a 1000k race for them??

well it was on the entire afternoon
i hope they can make a highlights show, with all there live shows in v8s, dtm, btcc and busch they never seem to show highlights shows. Not everyone wants to sit down for 6 hours of bathurst. I watched about the first 2 hours, was very good.

Must admit, if they'd only put Motors on cable, I'd have watched the whole race from start to finish!
Bathurst and Le Mans have to be the two greatest races in the world. I went to Le Mans for the first time this year, and as I have family in Oz and am overdue another visit, guess where I'll be this time next year...?
Heres to another Holden victory - maybe with a BTCC driver on board....??

Brilliant guy, great designer ... The Laguna also ran at Bathhurst in '97, in the hands of Jason Plato and Alan Menu - Plato did the first hour, got a brilliant start, into lead on first lap and built up an approx 40 secs lead - handed over to Menu for 2nd stint , pace cars ate away at the lead -back to Plato again for the third stint, who then stretched the lead again - back to Menu for 4th stint, at this point they were leading by 'a country mile' ..... disaster - the 'Diff' broke. Great car, great drivers. In fact Plato still holds the lap record at Bathurst in 'Super Touring'.

I remember watching the end of that race early on the Sunday morning on Eurosport. They were really impressive, unlike ex F1 World Champ Alan Jones who shunted the 2nd WTCE Laguna heavily....
9th was a good finish for my man yesterday. He had a better co driver than last year and a more reliable car as well, although it still had throttle problems, but the number 1 Ozemail car had the same trouble. Top 6 was on.

Ah, so *THAT'S* where Nic Minassian ended up!?!?!?! That's about as far away from ASCAR as you can physically get! Ok, ok, I suppose there is the common factor of V8 engines...
Didn't watch the race as I've not got Motors, but from what i hear, it was an absolute cracker! :)
