If you could swap a support race what would you swap it with?
The Carrera's are beautiful to look at, great noise just bad racing. I would swap it with Mini Challange great series.
What would you change

I went to see WTCC at brands and they had VW Scirocco Cup as a support series, they had some very good races, was great to watch I dont know much about them but they had some sort of push to pass system were they could get 15 shots of extra power to use when needed, I think they run on some sort of bio gas so they are also eco friendly.

For me:
Formula Renault UK out - Formula Ford in
Carrera Cup out - Don't know what i'd want instead.

I'd love to bring in the VW Cup, The Clios have gotten abit stale so i'd boot them :p
and i agree that Formula Ford is awesome.
I'd like a support race series that isnt a one make race that actually has a variety of motors

f-renault out, f-ford in
clios out, national legends in
or get rid of renault and allow the tracks to bring in the local club racers of their choice, works pretty well at knockhill as in the past we have had our f-fords and legends supporting, this year it is our classics and mini coopers.

I'd hate to see different 'club' series competing at each meeting. I like having the set support series that follow BTCC throughout the calendar, allowing fans to follow there progress and grow affiliations with teams/drivers.

I'd love to swap the F-Renaults with F-Fords. Seen them at British Gts at Oulton Park and they were fantastic, really close racing.

That would have been the DTM meeting, Scirocco Cup is one of their regular support series. With all the guest drivers and self-sponsored cars VW are obviously throwing a good deal of money at the series, something I doubt the UK importers would be prepared to do for a similar series here. Racing wasn't bad though.

I don't see British GT as support series, although F3 may beg to differ. They are running 1 hour races and experimenting with 2hr races this year, so being shoehorned into a BTCC support slot wouldn't be in their interest.
Interesting here that most people are wanting to ditch FRenault. I can't say I blame them.
Much as I would love to see some real clubbie motorsport (Mighty Minis, 2CVs, Euro Saloons, CSCC) a chance to shine in front of a big crowd I don't see that happening. No disrespect to those competitors but the rag tag bag of camper vans, trailers and tank tape you see in a typical club race meeting is not the sort of professional paddock image TOCA would like to promote.

I think the major stumbling block here is costs. If something like the VW Cup wanted to be part of the TOCA package, costs would have to go up, and considering the current climate, I doubt it would happen. But I would like to see it happen in the future, with Formula Ford coming in

I'd like to see a return of the Fiesta Challenge we had during the 90's. Standard 200bhp Fodr Ecoboost engines so alot quicker than the cars we had during the 90's and an exhaust note that sounds better than that awful drone that comes out the back of the Clios.

How about Superkarts?! I currently race in the series (a registered MSA Championship) and they are so little known/respected as a series, which is a great shame and truely undeserved in terms of the machinery and racing on offer. They produce 65bhp for the Single cylinder MSA class and 90bhp for the twin cylinder class, top speed is around 130mph for singles and 145mph for twins and they lap about 3 seconds a lap (on average) quicker than BTCC, twins a little more. But the races we have are unparalled. At Snetterton for example this year there were 48 karts on the grid and because it is relatively easy to overtake, the racing is extremely intense and exciting. Plus of course the races are just 20 minutes long, (due to limited fuel tank size) it'd be easy to fit them into the weekend...
But no one seems to rate them for reasons I cannot understand/fathem, and certainly not anywhere near enough for them to appear at a BTCC weekend, although we are racing with the International Superstars at Donington next weekend, although I will be revising for A levels :(

I'd say the worst racing of the lot is the Formula Renault. Really dull races there...
As a replacement, Mini Challenge would be fantastic.

I wouldn't change any of the series over to other ones, what I would do however is reduce the number of laps that the porsches have and give those to the juniors!
Though saying that, there might not be enough cars left at the end of the race to finish it!

I like the idea of more laps for the Ginetta Juniors.

I like the FunCup or 2CV Challenge or even Caterhams. :D
In other words something that has some spirit and fun to it that provides a contrast to the other more "serious" series and is more kindly on the wallet.

I would second that, and plus I guess we'd see the return of Forster Motorsport ;)

Nooooo!!! Not the Minis. The cost will go through the roof. The Mini Challenge and the Scottish Mini championship are enough. Anyway they're old hat now.
Better to stick with the Clios, give them a third race with reverse grid and look at how to boost power to 225bhp or more. I was also told by a Renaultsport sales bloke that there's a 220bhp version due out soon. So if true that would help keep their fun factor....

You clearly have some suicide wish wishing away theJuniors in these here parts :P
The only support race series in my humbly esteemed opinion that sometimes even outshines the BTCC races

After watching the Truck GP this weekend I'd say:
some truck racing would be very entertaining as a support.
