What a storming drive by Richard Westbrook in the second Porsche Carrera Cup race. I was amazed that the team were able to fix it in time, it was well wrecked. Congrats to Richard and his team BEAST Racing!

wasn't it amazing? He mae it look so so easy - every lap and another place. I just don't know how he does it.
And a very well done to Beast for repairing the car - just a pity only one of them made it out (Dave's engine had gone when running 3rd :()

Don't forget that his tyres were almost new after not completing a full lap in the first race. His charge came to a halt when his tyres began to wear even though they were less worn than all the other cars in the race.

You obviously know very little about the rules concerning tyre use in the Porsche championship! Each driver has 8 tyres to use for the weekend, Richard used 4 in qualifying and then the same 4 for race one, 2 of which were damaged in the crash. He therefore started the second race on his second set of tyres, - an option open to all if they only use one set in qualifying!!!!

I thought he was brilliant - very like his drive at Thruxton last year.
Also it was great to see Perry McCarthy back on track and going for it in the first race.
I wish he'd sign up for a regular drive, he'd have no trouble getting sponsorship now he's a name.

On a slightly different topic, was that a new livery on the number 40 car? I didn't notice it at thruxton. It looked good but it could've done with a blue flashing light on the roof! :D

Is Perry Mc' doing a full season or just guest or occasional drives ?
I don't usually the follow the Porsche Carrera Cup, pardon me for saying so in a thread populated by Porsche enthusiasts.
