Did you see the MG's all lined up on the South Bank. Thought they looked good .

I havent seen any other car club form up like that, There wasnt an army of Seat's or VX's, or even BMW's.

I have to hand it to who-ever organised it, well done.

Makes you feel a little proud to be british.

Tom Chilton needs a smack bottom , naughty young man. In the real world you would knock his block of for driving like that.

Looking at the WSR appeal thread, it appears that Anthony Reid is the man to congratulate. It always helps to have friends in high places, or at least in need!

there was a seatcupra.net parking area, but unfortunatly all they were allowed was a space just outside the main gate.

Anthony Reid got us the permission (Thanks again !) and i organised the parking arrangements :) Have to admit, i was very pleased except for the 2 Vauxhall idiots. 1 who parked his Calibra on the end of a 40+ MG line up (was it not obvious that this was a private line up??) and then Corsa boy who tryed to dive into a space vacated by one of our members (briefly) who went to pick an exhaust up on the other side of the line up. Corsa boy was soon told where to go though :D

There are a number of large Vauxhall Clubs about, but none or not many seem to want to go to the lengths you MG boys (and girls! ;) ) want to go to. Its a shame, as I think it would be great to see a really large group of MG's, VX's, seats, Hondas etc, would link well with their racing counterparts.

Do you allow people to look at your cars, or is it strictly MG people only, as I'm sure a few would like to look at the different versions, just like a mini car meet really.

Anyone is more than welcome to come along and have a look and a chat :)

Good show chaps, (and ladies). Must have been difficult for the MG drivers not to risk a leftwards glance at you people during the races. Is your display just a Brands thing ? (I know the BTCC has a huge MG following).

Me too, i'd rather dunk my head in a bucket of pig swill for 2 hours than watch that nancy drivel.

I've never been able to understand the appeal of football ; grown men going out to watch 22 other grown men wearing ill fitting shorts, running around ?? Something odd going on their if you ask me ! Plus, how much does a premiership match cost 30, 40 quid ?! All that just to sit in the same piece of moulded plastic too close to another bloke, for 2 hours and then at the risk of a potential riot every time ! Plus, it's such a high scoring game, i don't think i could take the excitement, i mean, if you're lucky, you get 1-0 !!!!!! WOW !!

Give me the BTCC any day, a full day out for £25, the capability to view from where ever you want, when ever you want and the knowledge that you wont get in a riot and you'll return back to your car in 1 piece ! :D

i feel the same about football, i really really hate it, i think it is boring with no action to be honest i think paint drying is better, whereas motorsports are the best, action, speed and a good atmosphere along with many other things.

How dis his de-generate onto Football.

My point, which you have proven for me , was

YOU HATE THE GERMANS , but SUPPORT THEM by driving and buying one of their cars !!

Come on guys we are straying off topic!!...

If there is an equivelant to the South Bank at Silverstone, then the list is already upto 26 cars and passengers, another fine display in the making!! :D

If i wanted to talk "f*******" i wouldnt be here.

I take it your a british car driving person then ???

And will be supporting the MG's at Silverstone ?? ( Back on thread )

Kelvin, there is no where at Silverstone that's really like Southbank.

You could probably have a display on the inside somewhere, the paddock area, but you probably won't have a view of the track

I think SeatCupra.Net is setting up somewhere around the trade-stand area...

Hopefully WSR are sorting something for us too. Its great to see fans/manufactures/teams all working together to promote and enjoy the racing!! HopefullyTOCA and the circuit owners can help accomodate such groups of fans, as they form great displays at little cost to the organisers.

It was nice to see you lot getting together, but it was a shame that it was at the expense of people who normally drive and park their cars on the south bank. I know people who have been going to watch from that bank for years, and were really quite put out by having to move.

until the every last few hours, there was to be NO PARKING at all, for ANYONE, we the MG fans were extremely lucky to get last minute permission. Had South Bank been open to all, we would have had to tighten ranks and do out best to huddle together, we are not selfish enough to deprive regulars of their usual parking spot, and we are most grateful to the BH mangement for allowing us to park where we did.

As mentioned SOUTH BANK was a one off. J.Palmer granted permission at the last minute. I agree its a great spot to park.

Silverstone won't be quite the same, as we haven't managed to arrange anything there!

Except for a TF near the WSR garages! ;)
