last year i sat by bridge corner, and could see from there to luffield/woodcote
this is good, because you see the cars for quite a long time, but as it's a slower part of the track, it's not so spectacular.
copse is ok, but you are a long way from the track, and those fences are a bit akward for filming.
from what i remember from year past, it's not that easy to view ireland, and not much happened at maggots.
so where's your favorite viwing area of silverstone?

well the only place I can take photos from is Luffield or the inside of Becketts.
Not my favorite track at all.

woodcote A grandstand
if you pick the right seat you can see all of the complex, the start/finish straight, and copse

I've always been a fan of the Abbey hairpin. You can see the cars coming down the straight, braking hard and then off towards Bridge. You always get overtaking there and it's often pretty spectacular on the first lap. There's a banked seating area here, so you can usually get high enough to clear the fence for photos, if you've got a reasonably good lens. I use a 70-300 and 200 is good enough.

I had a pretty good view from the back of the grid but I couldn't stay there very long ;)

I'm not a fan of Silverstone, to be honest. I find it very boring for spectators. However, wherever the btcc goes, I go, so I make the best of it. The weather didn't help either, especially on Saturday. Made visibility pretty poor. :(
