Are we only allowed to pick one?!? :( Tough question.

Suppose as its a BTCC forum I'd best say BTCC at Brands - although might feel a bit sick when going over Dingle Dell if its after lunch!!

DTM at Hockenheim would be good (one of my favourite tracks on my F1 game) although it'll probably be a bit bumpy now they've removed the tarmac! :(

WRC at Sweden would be cool too (actually it would be freezing rather than cool!!) but I think I'd scare myself to death driving along at 100+mph on snow with only a snow bank stopping you from hitting the trees!!

F1 at Spa probably isnt as good nowadays as before TC etc was introduced (but then again without TC I'd probably not reach Eau Rouge anyway!!) ;)

What would I like???

An ASCAR at Rockingham!!! (I've been promised a ride in one of the 2-seaters, which should be close enough...)

If I can't have the ASCAR, the other option would be a Porsche 911 GT3RS at Brands (dry) or Snetterton / Knockhill (wet).

I don't think I'd like to drive any of them becuase I'd be far too slow to have any real fun. I'd much rather get a race driver to take me round to get the proper enjoyment (plus, it wouldn't do to crash one would it?)

BTCC at Thruxton gets my vote! I think the closest I will get is when I drive the Ferrari 355 at Goodwood!!!!

btcc car on the brands hatch gp circuit.

its the best track in the world and it also has the best corner in the world, paddock.

What an impossible decision!

In reality I agree with touring fan - being taken round by a pro would be the best experience of all - I'd like to do the following:

Rally Corsica with Colin McRae in the Xsara WRC
Thruxton with Dan Eaves in a BTCC-T car of his choice!
Spa with David Coulthard in a McLaren (2 seater obviously!)
Rockingham with Jason Plato in an ASCAR
Le Mans with Martin Brundle

I could then die happy!

But in answer to the original question - ummm - Rally Sweden I guess of those options but I'll take any that are going!

I hate that corner!! But thats cos my car always used to spin off at Paddock in Toca 2!

Always thought it was a shame you couldnt go on the GP circuit in the game

the car always used to oversteer at paddock on toca2 didn't it.

i love driving round the brands hatch gp track on toca race driver tho.

too true.

i agree with every one of those apart from the thruxton and dan eaves one, i'd prefer the brands hatch GP and jimmy t in his astra.

2 more great ones would be:
norsring with aiello in his audi tt
bathurst with craig lowndes in his ford.

pleaase jim, fix it for me:D

Guess what I picked Bathurst. Not theat any of the others would be exciting. Flying around Brands would be great and yes I have to agree the track on playstation is a handfull.

Racing in the wee hours of the morning at Spa 24hr would just be something.

Freezing cold slippery ice and wandering spectators add up to pure adrenalin rush in the Swedish rally.

Very had to pick but since I have raced at Mt Panorama in 1992 in a support race to the V8's in a street sedan event. It was NSW Mazda car club against Victoria and I prepared my Rx3 coupe and walked away with 8th place starting from 14th.

So it must be.:p

BATHURST...:D

Tough question.

Either V8s the British GTs at Thruxton or Le Mans.

I'm sorry but the BTCC cars are no match for the power and enjoyment of a a big beefy Sports car.

Just realised - I've driven at Le mans!! :)

Unfortunately though it was on the public road section of the circuit and was in August (ie nowhere near the 24 hour race!) and it wasn't in an Audi R8 or anything (just my dads volvo!) but hey the first line of this post sounds impresive! ;) :p

I cant imagine what you mean Aussie! ;) But as you're the only one who got it then u must know what I meant!! :p

As for the car - it is a sporty one (and the alternative was my mountain bike) so its not really that sad! ;) What I should have said here was that Rickard Rydell was my dad and it was the company vehicle! ;) Alas that would just be a lie! :(

John

As I started that nonsence and being very down to earth nothing goes over my head.

The Volvo thing is as follows.

In Oz if you drive a Volvo you are 100 in the shade wear a hat and drive no more than 60 kph so the jokes are wide spread and sometimes risque.

I think the story at the end of your thread was the best. :D

Thats what they used to be like here. But when they looked up the word 'aerodynamic' and realised it didnt have the same meaning as 'brick shaped' I think that changed a bit. And obviously the BTCC helped the image.

Hi everyone, i'm back!!

Hmmmmm difficult one, i would like to drive a GT car through church at Thruxton, however it has to be driving a touring car down Paddock hill bend and then taking a flying lesson at Dingle Dell at Brands Hatch for me!!!
