MGF Cup - Remember?

What do you people think of the MGF Cup when it was around?

I've been watching the 1999 and 1998 review of it the last couple of days, and it's really sad it's not around anymore!
There is tons of action in every race, and it's where Paul O'Neill started his career.

Why did it get stopped after only 3 years??

My guess is something to do with MG and BMW?? But thats just a guess. Now MG are in the BTCC so it might be less attractive to have a 1 make series aswell (repeat advertising).

Shame, as it was a great series and the cars made very close racing.
