Toca 2 lineup!!!

i found this game in the bottom of my wardrobe the other day and couldnt believe how good the lienup of cars were!!! audi a4, renault laguna, peugeot 406, ford mondeo, volvo s40,nissan primera,vauxhall vectra and the honda accord! where have these manufacturers gone? why did they pull out? out of them there is only vauxhall left!!! any feedback and ideas to where btcc has gone wrong in such a short space of time would be appreciated!!!

Those were the good all days, with Rydell, Menu and a promising youngster that went by the name of Jason Plato. I don't know why they all pulled out but ive been playing the game a lot recently and have won a race on expert level in a peugeot

i know waht a game!!! just done a 39.74 round brands in the a4 best all round car for me!!! havent yet tried expert though!!!

What I always found best about the game was that if you got rough with other drivers they would come back to get you. Usually Warwick.:D

The best all round car for me was the Honda...but the Nissan gave me alot of confidence.

I'm now trying to do the championship in a Peugeot on expert = impossible! I keep getting rammed left and right, all over the place....and i've put a cheat on where you don't have to score 15 points to progress and after 4 rounds I have a pathetic 7 points. :rolleyes:

I did that cheat, and wasnt doing that bad in the championship, but afterwards, it doesnt get recorded in the records thing. In expert it helps mucking around with the set up. I muck around with the gear ratios to get more speed as the AI always have more speed.

Renault and Nissan are the same company so you wouldn't get both teams competing, likewise with Volvo and Ford (although Citroen and Peugeot do in WRC). Peugeot struggled to be competitive, returned in 2001 but didn't do much better then decided to focus on WRC. Vauxhall still represented, likewise (kind of!) with Honda. Audi were not allowed to run 4WD which was their main marketing tool - but the FWD car didn't do badly (and the DTM car is RWD not 4WD).

On the whole though a combination of lack of money, changes to models (Laguna), merging of car companies, and focus of attention on other series including F1 and WRC.

Sure Alan is trying to get them back but I can't see a return to 8/9 works backed teams for a little while yet!!

That cheat is called 'Punchy', anyother cheats are worthless and are just for messing around. Like 'justfeet' where you only see the wheels going around the track with no body shell.

The no kick out of championship cheat for toca2 is "punchy" for playstation and "timeout" for PC

Still one of the only games to get the physics right when you hit other people or go on the grass. Toca world was auful, way to easy, Toca Race drivers handling is way to easy + rubbish graphics + "sticky" grass stopped you spinning, Toca Race driver 2 is an improvement but now AI cars are on Rails like the old days.

The only game I have got that matches the physics in Toca 2 is Nascar (yes Nascar) 2003. Made by papyrus who have now lost the licence, pushed out by EA. Still love having online battles against 40 other people, even if it is just on an oval.

I have a playstation one and there is no way to enter the cheat codes. can some help me with this? I also have the US version of this game I don't if that matters.
