very little heard on the MG front then....what is Bennet up to at WSR.
And what of Turks and Reid????
I hear that Jason Hughes has been in talks with several prospective sponsors, will this mean a sole MG this year.

Colin Turkington was announced as a VX works driver way back in September.

i think that there may be a few MG's on the grid. But they'll all be independent teams again.

There was a bit of a rumour flying around that Rob Collard would in a MG for this coming season but not sure if it has been confirmed or not yet

I think Rob would prefer a VX from last year as his prefered car.

There was some talk of a Legget, Reid, o'Neill combo but I'm afraid this was just talk. Pity. :(

At the moment, the chances of a MG works team is remote although the likelyhood is that one or two indies may run them. ie Hughes.

i heard that wsr hadn't got enough money so wouldn't be running. not MG X-power backed (only had it on car at awards evening due to the fact that they won).

I think that you will see wsr and a brace of competative Mgs with competative drivers

Just a hunch, but I would not be surprised to see Mr Reid and Mr Collard in WSR MG's

From what I gather, I think WSR will be out racing the MG's, but not with Collard. ;)

Collard wants a 2004 spec Astra.

Bennetts has confirmed that WSR will be on the grid in 2005 with MGs - no word on drivers.

Just hope it's true. I saw the article in MN and nearly did cartwheels. Sureterm should have been very happy with their exposure for the last few rounds last year so am expecting to see their logo prominent on the cars.
After being so successful last year with basically a new car on limited buget it would have been a shame to allow all their good work go to waste.
All we need now is for Anthony Reid to anounce he will be driving one of the cars and I can look forward to some great racing next year. Whoever gets the other car can be sure of some great coaching from him so we could have another Independant one, two this year too.
Can't wait for Donny to see what colour scheme they will be running.

I see that MG are entering 2 MG ZT's into the DTM - can't wait. Although, I wish MG would spend more money at home, but I guess they are going for the bigger market!

This week's MSN states that Rob is hoping to negotiate a deal to drive a WSR MG. Fingers crossed the deal comes off. Rob in an MG will fly!!!

Rob has sold his Astra to SCSA driver Mark Proctor. Mark will be a welcome addition to the BTCC... not called the "entertainer" for being boring

Things are looking up

I would love to see Rob in an MG next year i think his pace in the astra last year shows he has the skill to compete even when his car was 3 years out of date. perhaps he will have a good chance of winning back his indy champion tag.

lets hope so any way
