Have ya all seen the picture of the new Astra?

Just one question - Why do they insist on using black wheels?

My view is the car is looking topping but from a distance looks like it has steel wheels.

Any comments?

I always think the wheels would look better in a light colour.
I think this was brought up last year about this point.
When most if the car is a light colour the wheels look abit odd being black. I think it looked worse on the Halfors cars as the bright orange and black wheels really didnt do anything for me.

The new car does look good but its abit of a crap pic, Im sure when 888 decide to do the pain scheme and get the promo pics out the car will look even better.

I quite like the black wheel look, they look a bit more stylish than the coloured and chrome.
Does anyone know, will the Astras be in red again next year? Everyone seemed to be in red or black the past couple of seasons, it made a change to see the silver and yellow Seats.

I wouldn't take anything of the colour scheme from that pic if I was you. For one thing, it's all red. It doesn't say Vauxhall or "VX Racing" anywhere on it, and that's obviously going to change.

It might not be all red, but there will be red and white in the colour scheme - those are Vauxhall's corporate colours.

And the wheels are probably just black because they're cheaper than posh alloys, and there's no point having nice looking alloys on at this time of year when there's the chance you could trash 'em.

its just a pic from the car testing so thats why they havent bothered with the livery yet, i suspect that the livery will be just like last years as that design was only introduced last year, the roof is allready black which fits in with this
