Alan. During a race meeting you're probably "chained" to race control in your role as the man in charge. But away from the BTCC we've seen you take part in the odd race (Citroen 2CVs) so you obviously like getting behind the wheel.

If you could race in a round of the BTCC where would it be and why and in which car and which of the current drivers would you most like to 'dice' with? If you could go out and stand with the fans, which one corner or place would be your favourite for action and atmosphere?

Interesting questions!

1. Mondello. I really like the circuit....probably because I won a 24hr race there and have done literally thousands of laps around that circuit (in five 24hr races I did there) - so I know it like the back of my hand.

2. I would want (and need) to be in the best/fastest car...so whichever car that is will be fine with me.

3. I couldn't choose a particular driver to dice with....they all have their good and bad days.

4. A great viewing position is right at the bottom of Dufus Dip at Knockhill.....you see them coming over the hill and work their way down through the corners then head off through the fast chicane, often leaping in the air.
