General Discussion

Any chance of a General Discussion section? I remember the old Toca Forums, circa 2002, used to have this. It was one of the best parts of the forum, but has been missing for a long time now.

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your suggestion for the General Discussion Forum.

As you rightly state, there was a General Discussion Forum at one stage however it was removed because a few members were spoiling it for the majority by posting inappropriately and breaking the BTCC forum rules.

As the official BTCC website it is felt that the official BTCC forum should remain soley for motorsport discussions.

If I remember correctly, it was only a small minority, and I'm sure it would be possible to moderate the content.

Hi Jonathan,

Unfortunately this forum will not be happening in the forseeable future, the Moderators are busy enough with the main Motorsport Forums without the added opportunity for discussions to spin off onto any subject under the sun.

Sorry if this is a disappointment but there are plenty of other forums which do have a General Discussion area.

I put my weight behind a non topic forum.

It's nice to get to know forum members apart from their knowledge of BTCC.

I guess you guys have said no, though.

However, I know of a new forum which has lots of off topic sections ;)
