I'm having real trouble trying to get tickets for BTCC Racedays.
I have a season ticket for the Octagon circuits - so they're not a problem - but all of the others (!!!!!).
Thruxton for example - keep telling me the race dates haven't been set yet - so they can't tell me when they'll go on sale!!
ANy ideas anyone??

last year i baught tickets to each meeting about two or three weeks before the event. but im not sure how far in advance you can book them. i would assume that the calander will have to be finalised before tickets can go on sale.

Same problem here. I have a season ticket but I want grandstand seats. (apparently seats at brands are numbered and reserved this year BTW.) Octagon have told me the callender isn't confirmed so wait untill March.

Thruxton tickets are available now as are their grandstand seats.
Let's see if I get this right....
Sunday paddock transfer included with ticket £7 in advance ?£8 on the day.
Monday paddock transfer £5 ticket £17 in advance £21 on gate
Sunday and Monday including paddock transfers both days £27 - only available in advance.
Seats Monday £10, Sunday £5
Available on line.
and sneakily - if 10 of you get together you get both days for £25
The rest of the circuits put their tickets on sale about 2 months before the race.
p.s. as season ticket holders you can buy Brands seats now.

For the August meeting? they wouldn't let us book those at lunch. We booked the CART tickets a while back though. Even then it was a shambles booking them.

Mondello are advertising their tickets in Autosport so they must be available. You may not be able to buy the whole season this far in advance - just keep your eyes open for advertising & offers.

August meeting - no they won't be available yet - probably after the Cart meeting.
But beware - I have been caught out buying tickets too early and then Egg did a 2 for 1 or Tesco's did them with club card points or ....

Les, how does one go about getting discounted or deal tickets through Tesco clubcards ? Mrs Stig has had them for yonks and I can't recall any offers last year. Do you reckon she kept the offer secret or something??!! Can I reasonably expect to phone Octagon or the circuits a few weeks before the event like last year and not be dis-appointed. Not fussed about seats just want the basic with pitlane walkabouts

I am not 100% sure if the deal was in the last book but I have certainly used them previously. I think it cost me £5.50 in vouchers for one entry.
Octagon seem to have improved this year but you do get through to different people at different circuits each time you ring but that might have changed with the redundancies at Silverstone.
Thruxton is probably the best organised ticketing arrangement but I always feel they should get a buyer to lay down the parameters for the site - not the seller.

Does anyone know if a BTCC season ticket includes the Brands Hatch CART event?

Are you sure about that?
last year's Rockingham season ticket did NOT cover the CART meeting, so I'd check the small print first before making any assumptions. CART are quite tetchy about their ticketing policy so it is always best to check with an official source.
As for my own ticketing arrangements for BTCC; I usually buy at the gate if I am a paying spectator. Otherwise if I am working, I get my pass sent to me in the post once all the paperwork has been cleared.

The Octagon season ticket does include the CART race and the Friday practice of the GP. I have to say that after the nightmare that was the season ticket last year they seem to have it well sorted this time, nice presentation box with a smart ID card, lanyard and desk calendar.

Yup definatly sure. Phoned them up and sorted it (although u can never be sure with them  )
It actualy works out allot cheeper to buy a season ticket this year. If you are going to the GP friday and CART allown (all 3 days), you've already spend allot. Considering the season ticket is only £100 thats good value and its already paid off in those two meetings.

Got the usual mailing, brochure & booking form from Thruxton today - as Les says, they are very organised!
