Well, if i had seen it i would of said Cleland over the radio interview in 1999, but as i didnt ill say what was funny is when at Oulton in 2000 muller hits thomo and watty says what muller would say; "He backed into me! It wasnt my fault!"
:D :D :D

PS check out my new picture under my name, i grabbed a shot of Burts crash at Oulton in 1996.

Cox and Watson going mad when Rydell was spun around by Warwick at Donington in 98!! Anyone actually making out what they were shouting!?!?!?

Probably the Mansell Donington feature race.

One moment that had me in stitches was the Warwick vs. Mansell battle at Donny. Derek was behind him and kept on giving him a friendly nudge every few yards - and you could see a line of dents in the bumper of the Ford from the tow eye of the Vauxhall. I just think that was funny AND class driving from Derek. Oh, and he got past eventually as well...

Another thing that used to be quite funny (if you had a black sense of humour) was Dave Brodie's constant reprimands the scrutineers in the late 1980s - I forgot how many times he was excluded from the results and fined for engine and/or fuel irregularities...

What was bizarre about that was that you'd think he'd have figured it out. But he was also running the same car in Thundersaloons where the engine and fuel regs were completely different. You'd think he'd at least flush out the fuel system as it would have saved him bags of money! :)

This is an easy one for me ~ Jason winning the championship in 2001!

Matt Neals win at Donington in 1999! Can't remember which year it was but I also liked the discussion that went on after Alain Menu ended up in the lake. John Cleland commented that he hoped he'd packed his trunks. Also recently found on another web site, the unbroadcastable version of what John Cleland said over the radio when he received a drive through penalty in his last ever race!! The one I heard on TV was pretty tame in comparison!!

Jason Plato at Brands in 2001, of the thousands of BTCC memories, that one stands out. Think he chucked it off as well half way through the feature race. Thankfully, and with the utmost respect, Yvan Muller retired, if memory serves avec a fire of some sort.

TV highlight is Thommo at Donnington last year politely enquiring whether Yvan Mullers retirement, "means what I think it means"

Most of Charlie Cox summaries/soundbites, many of which, if I could remember them, would entertain me for ages.

Anything involving Andy Rouse and Steve Soper

yeah plato spun on lap 3 or something and the front of his astra finished about a millimetre away from the barrier at clearways, if it was anyone else they would have hit the barrier and been out of the race. i remember watty saying, ''today jason, you are blessed''.

another thing about that race was it was pouring with rain, there was standing water everywhere and muller had a fire under his car. go figure???

Loads of spooky things that day - Muller on fire - in a monsoon ?
Plato didn't nerf the wall somehow !!
The race wasn't abandoned before Muller retired

if that race wasn't the last race of the season and the title decider it would have been abandoned, but they had to run the race to allow muller the chance to overtake plato in the standings.

Best TV moment - When, Mansell, Cleland, Leslie, Muller and Reid were having that scrap changing positions every corner for a couple of laps at Donington in '98, and that race got 10th in the TV ratings for BBC2 that week!!

You're quite right Thommo_fan, hadn't overlooked that, I think the whole meeting also ran late, so much so, Plato had his ceremonies almost in the dark and I don't think they bothered with the parade lap on the truck.

The last race of 1992 was one of the best tv moments - as well as cleland harvey and soper scraping, there was rouse allam and leslie up front.
Also the toca shootout from that year when Odor went over the fence was good viewing - i think Murrary just enhanced the action!

My favourite moment has to be Tim Harvey coming straight on during qualifying at lodge corner (Oulton Park). His comment was "can you be careful with the front spoiler when pulling it out as I haven't got another". At least he was honest.

My fav moment? have to be the opening shot of Vikki Butler Henderson's first race!

But my fav moment ON the track was an BMW going of on the gravel at the first corner of last seasons meet at Croft - I was right there. :D
