I recently discovered that you had had a career in racing previous to running the BTCC, I was interested to find out more details about what you were involved in, so I decided the best idea would be to ask here. How far did you get in your career (ie to what level) and what made you change from racing to organisation?

Also, is there any chance you could buy yourself a touring car and increase the grid this year? :p I seem to recall you have been running sparodically in the Citroen C2V endurance series.

My racing "career" (if you can call it that) in Australia was only as an occasional driver in local touring car and sports sedan events and hillclimbs.

However my main motorsport background is from managing and owning racing teams in Australia.

The most well-known was as Peter Brock's partner in his race-team and special vehicles business in Australia. At that time, it was Australia's most successfull race team.

I was also one of the founders of TEGA....the organisation that owns/controls the Australian V8 Supercar series.
