Renault Clio Cup team Tracsport will switch to the Caterham R400 championship after losing their major sponsor last year. They will be retaining regular drivers John Ingram and Daniel Stilp for the new venture.
Both Tracsport Clios are now up for sale.

Whats a Clio Cup car worth these days and will they be Renault supported in 2004?

I don't know exactly what they're worth - probably anything between 10 to 20 thousand depending on what comes with the cars i.e. spares package and the level of preparation.
The main reason for Tracsport switching to Caterhams is that a) the cars are cheaper and b) the running costs are about half what they are in Clios.

They are in the autosport classifieds but there's no clue to the price - asks for offers!! (Hmm theres a thought!!) ;)
What Reynard says about - 10-20k sounds about right though.

arent the cars about £25k new? if so then something like £15-£20 might be likely, but i heard you'll need about the same amount again to run the car through the season.

I always thought it was 50K, for the whole thing, car and full suport. Maybe i heard the commentator wrong.

*I think* A new clio is £16,000 however they are so sort after some end up going for more like £20,000. Then you have the running costs, if you go to a team to run it for you, depending on the team it can range from about 30k to 70k for example, Martin Johnson paid about 60k i believe in 2001, however i think Daniel Buxton (2001 champion) paid more nearer 70k
