OK so I'm a very sad person lol :D I was a bit bored and had some scraps of wood and dowel etc so I set out to make vauxhalls 2003 championship winning car! :D
If anyone has any decals for it give me a bell. Cheers

I don't think that would pass the crash test, do you? It looks particularly fragile in terms of overall engineering abd build quality.
I suggest you go and buy a tamiya kit instead :)

ye but a kit doesn't give you the overal satifaction that you made it all. Oh and you don't get to use tools of destruction (power tools) ;) :)

I'm doing a watercolour picture of an Astra. Progress is slow because of Higher Prelims: I've only done the car without any sponser stickers and that.
Sim, why don't you just get yer paintbrush out on the car?

Because knowing me i'd muck it up. what I think i'll try and do is cut some templates. I'll put another pic up when its finished. :)

i love drawing racing cars, especially btcc cars, last year i did a black and white pencil drawing of thommo's astra and got 12 btc-touring drivers autographs on it so its very special to me now.
i have just finished a colour drawing of morrisons honda civic.

I like drawing racing cars aswell. I seem to find drawing F1 cars is easier.
I draw my F1 cars in the Pop-arty style, with felt tip pens. lol
I did a picture of the Alfa 147 2001 car (with paint this time!) for my final peice in art GCSE. But like the car, it's in bits now! :(

I do a lot of motor racing artwork in my spare time ñ I have been known to do the odd car, but I am not a particularly big fan of drawing them. Most of my work tends to be driver portraiture, either in pencil, charcoal or soft pastel and often worked from photographs that I have taken.
Anyways, IÃ*ve attached a drawing I did about two and a half years ago of the John Fitzpatrick Racing Porsche 956 Group C car that John and Derek Warwick drove to victory in the 1983 Brands Hatch 1000 Kilometres which Derek very graciously autographed for me.
Comments welcomed please.

Looks like this forum needs a motorsport gallery thread for all the artists out there to display their pictures for the rest of us to envy. :D

As I said, I don't do that many cars - mainly portraits, but I've attached my most recent portrait for your perusal - it is a sketch worked in charcoal and based on a photo that I took of this particular driver.
I shall leave it up to you to guess who it is - no prizes for the first correct answer, only the satisfying feeling of getting it right! :)

i have the same problem, most of mine turn out like those pictures you see in magazines, like the one where there ia square shape which is flat, but you can see the stairs going up and up!

It is indeed - I see you've unmasked my favourite lunatic! :)
Anyway, that's the standard to which I work to, although that one in real terms is only A4 size as it was essentially a concept sketch. My portraits are usually A2 size.
I've done quite a few portraits that have then been signed by the victim. Kel's one of them - others are Derek Warwick, Jason Plato and Yvan "FG" Muller.
I've got some photographs of a few but have yet to scan. Will post them here at some point in the future.
