i have just heard on a certain xpower MG site that MG have asked vauxhall hnda proton and the series director if this year they can have two exhausts, instead of moving frm a 6 to a 4 cyl they will keep the 6 and have 2 exhaust letting the exhaust gasses out faster giving a slight increase in power and more imporantly what that V6 needs, torque
interesting, im suprised Honda, Vaux and poton have agreed to that.

*also just heard MG will launch thier 2003 attack with a launch 'ceremony' on the 10th of march, i think we'll be either suprised or gutted!

Question - slightly confused here - have MG asked for this (the twin exhaust) or has it been agreed, your post is a bit contradictory.

I think that they requested this, and were then granted permission by the other teams to go ahead with this.
Apparently, they are happier with this solution more than the raised rev limit.

Excellent - if this is so (and I guess technically it will equal or surpass the rev limit increase) then MG will be up there this year without a doubt.
Glad this issue seems to have been resolved.:)

if this is true, and it seems to be i think, no, MG WILL be the manufacturer to ebat, they have the best chassis.

i'd be surprised if the other teams agree to this, why would they agree to something that would make another team stronger and more competitive?

Well, it would be cool for someone to beat Vauxhall. But if its vauxhalls last year it would be cool for them to go out with a big banG! (domination i mean)

I don't want to stamp out anyones ethusiasm but if Vaux and Honda agreed to it then it's testiment that it won't make that much difference.
Won't it branch off the manifold and go into one down pipe anyway?

Maybe they are just thinking ahead and if they allow this then MG will be more likely to agree to any changes Vauxhall or Honda may want to introduce in the future. Or as has also been said, maybe the advantage is seen as negligable anyway.
