OK, so I've so thought about this a whole lot!!!
The team would be called Pink Princess Racing and the cars would be pink and black Primeras with the drivers overalls being black with pink edging, apart from the girl driver who would have pink overalls with black edging!
Driving would be Matt Neal, Paul O'Neill and Emma Silley (not someone you will have heard of yet, but mark my words, you will!) and because when this happens I will be proper minted, all of the drives will be paid drives awarded based on driving ability rather than ability to gain sponsorship. It will also be a team that prides itself on bringing through young talent and giving them the opportunity to drive a great car alongside championship winning drivers from whom they can learn and develop
All I need to do now is have a big old lottery win, and we're away!!! :D

I love threads like this! so easy for me to answer....
Ok, even though it kind of breaks the rules a bit I'll have the old Astra Coupe, painted in a livery that probably wouldn't stretch too far from VX Racing's 2005...Failing that I think I'd just have the three Astra Sport Hatchs from this year in their entirety! As for drivers I have no hesitation at all when I say I'd sign:
James Thompson
Colin Turkington
and the lovely (and very fast) Gavin Smith!

Before this gets too silly girls (I presume) lets just keep this to the car and drivers as it started and not get too excited about the colour schemes - just yet! Please!
At this rate you will have the grid girls uniforms designed and the watermark (and colour of course) for the headed paper sorted by tomorrow night. Fun maybe but a bit off topic.

Silver with the red hoops, classic ;)
I could list many drivers as there have been plenty of talents, who can forget the antics of Cleland/Warwick (the patented derek warwick battering ram)

i would choose this years vectra for sure its a beast. i went for this just aheed of the audi a4 of the super touring years which was also superb. of course at its best in its quattro form.
getting onto drivers if i was running a three car team i would have giovanardi cos he is fantastic and when he gets in front he is so hard to pass.
i would also have anthony reid because of his determination and the fact that he refuses to believe he is ever beaten. a true racer.
i would probably also have colin turkington. i think he is syuch a smooth and clean driver who is capable of being very quick whatever the wheather.

5th Jun 2007, 09:42 PM
I'd have the Vauxhall Vectra, painted in green and white (like vx racing's '06 astra).
MY drivers would be:
Tom Chilton-Because he has a lot of talent but has little luck so I feel sorry for him
Fabrizio Giovanardi- Because 7 touring car championships don't count for nothing
I wouldn't have a thrid driver because that would cost more money and only 2drivers are eligible for manufacurers points this year.
p.s. I know my time is identical to vauxhall apart from the colour scheme, but what's wrong with that
p.p.s. my team should probably called 'Not quite VXRacing'!

Is making an old Mk2 RS2000 to s2000 spec allowed? If not would get the volvos from Sweeden, and have Kelvin Burt, Ryan Sharp and Shaun Watson Smith to drive, Burt and SWS both got unfinished business, Burt should have at least one title to his name, whilst SWS deserves at least one season to prove himself in a good car against a good driver, not in a proton against someone slower than James May. Whilst Ryan has shown he's got talent in the WTCC last year, but once again talent doesn't get you as far as money in motorsport, and he didn't have any.

I don't know if they ever raced, but there are examples of the new shape focus's built for last years WTCC, I think both shapes are racing in the German championship, which unfortunately doesnt get much coverage due to the DTM being the superior Tin Top series over there.

A pair of the Volvo S60's that were half built to BTCC rules in 2001 (finished of course)

Thinking about the BTCC rules, you could in theory take the new Nissan GTR (the Skyline replacement) and fit the 2000cc engine from a primera, a new Dodge Charger and fit the Neon engine. Or put the engine from the vectra into a Holden Commodore. Pretty much any luxury/Muscle/sports 4 door where the manufacturer has a 2l model in its range.
