If anyones interested the WSB rounds from Spain are on BBC 2 tonight at 11.55 (obviously there was something better on earlier as they used to get a Grandstand slot in the afternoon! - Bowls maybe? or more horse racing!!)
Anyway I assume Charlie Cox is still commentating so might be worth a watch!

Not big on 2 wheel action as I find it a bit stressful! Somehow I often seem to end up watching WSBs though! I guess its because they come on before or after someting I'm watching anyway but that is not going to happen at 23:55 on a Sunday night!!

Yeah Im the same - WSBs is watchable though (more so with Charlie's commentary!) Usally watch it if I see its on - but dont go out of my way - Britain has a good chance this year though as far as Im aware so might make more of an effort (at least until the BTCC season starts anyway!!) ;)

Dunno if anyone saw it but it was pretty good. Brits have a good chance this year (basically because the others seem to have gone off to do Moto GP!) and Foggy's back as a team owner so should be a good season.
Also was good to hear Charlie again (even if he still uses the exact same phrases!! - eg "Revs are up, ready for a start" at every start!) ;)

I am not really a fan of bikes either but often end up watching them. We might go to British Superbikes at Rockingham to make full use of our season tickets!

From the BBC website, I read that they did intend to cover the Valencia race live on Grandstand. However, the race was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday 9 March, however the event was moved forward a week. Subsequently, the BBC were unable to alter yesterday's schedule, due to the short notice.

oh ok - I'll let them off in that case! So that means the next rounds should be live?
Do they mean live or just on the same day because, I think?, in the past they have shown them slightly delayed because it was possible to look on ceefax and see who won.

I would imagine they will continue to employ the basis of tape delaying the first race and showing the second race live or on a very short turn around.
I do not think the next two races (Australia) will air live. The Beeb have a habit of showing highlights of fly away races as highlights on Grandstand. I think this is done because there is a wider potential audience during the day than if they were to cover the race live at 3 am.

i watched it on eurosport, i've been watching it for a couple of years now, but i get the feeling that this year will be totally dominated by the factory ducati's of hogdson and xaus.
i'd love to see the foggy boys mixing it with them tho.

True, if they are to show them live then they won't get as big an audience in the afternoon, but the other way to look at it is that if it's on live, they'll probably get better viewing figures than with anything else they could show at 3am.

Did anyone see the rounds this weekend?? Or more to the point did anyone try and record them? I was out so set the video as normal but the PDC didn't initiate the recording so I'm a bit pee-ed off about that. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem??
By the way - I rang up the BBC to have a rant but the girl on the other end of the phone was so nice I felt guilty ranting to her!! ;) Cheers Joanne!!
