HereÃ*s the next renewal of Who, what, where & when.

The answers for Teaser 2 are as follows:

WHO: Bobby Verdon-Roe
WHAT: TVR Cerbera Speed 12 / TVR Motorsport
WHERE: Brands Hatch (Druids)
WHEN: 2001

Congrats to Racefan_uk for being the first person to solve the complete question!

Like I said, the clues were all there, from the colour of the TVR to the car following behind (Barff/Short Tuscan R) and the driverÃ*s helmet etc. Well done to all those who got various bits of the answer right. Will have to make it a little bit harder this time, so... :)

HereÃ*s another one ñ again, the clues are all there if you know where to look. This time, I want both driver/car combinations. Remember ñ I will need those four pieces of information from you:

WHO: driver name (in this case both suspects)
WHAT: the cars (and the teams if possible) involved
WHERE: circuit at which the action took place
WHEN: the year the action took place

So hereÃ*s the next little teaser ñ good luck!

James Thompson and James Kaye
Peugeot 405 and Toyota Carina E
Swallow Racing and Maxted Motorsport
not sure of circuit so gonna guess - Snetterton

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! :) And I thought I was being suitably obtuse.... Will have to try harder.

Spot on, John.

WHO: Kaye & Thompson
WHAT: Toyota Carina & Peugeot 405
WHERE: Snetterton
WHEN: 1994

It's nice to know someone has the same twisted lines of thought that I do. ;)

Word of warning - the next ones are a little bit more obscure!

And just to prove how sad (erm I mean intelligent!) I am the other car in the background is Nigel Smitsh's HMSO Cavalier (number 25) the other car I'm not sure about, doesnt help that its not all in shot. Not Albon's Renault, not a BMW so the only thing I can think of is its Ian Kahn's Cavalier and therefore its towards the end of the season after he split from Maxted as the second Carina driver.

Actually, it's Round 4, so it's early in the season. You're certainly right about the third car in shot being Nigel Smith's HMSO-sponsored Cavalier though.

Thommo retired just gone halfway the race with suspension problems - and he was on pole for the Total Cup for that race. The photo is of James Kaye actually overtaking Thommo for second place in class. At this point, Chris Goodwin is the leader of the race (for Total Cup), but he later slipped back with brake and clutch failure. James actually overtook Chris on the last lap.

That left Kaye as class winner, with Chris Goodwin second and Nigel Smith third. Nigel Albon in a Renault 19 was 4th in class.

Since there were only three privateer Cavaliers at that point in the season, and given that I've accounted for two of them given the time the photo was actually taken, it goes to reason that the fourth car in shot is the Cavalier of Ian Khan.

However, both the Toyota of Kaye and the Vauxhall of Khan were being run by Maxted! :) As it is very early in the season, there are two alternatives to that conundrum:

1) Either Maxted were running two different cars all season OR
2) The swap happened right at the beginning i.e. prior to Round 4.

Hmmmm...... a mystery then!!

We'll have to wait for James Kaye to join the forum and ask him I think!!

Found the answer! Kahn raced the Toyota in Rounds 1-3) then switched to the Vauxhall which was still run by Maxted in rounds 4 and 8-12. Sorted!
