HereÃ*s the next renewal of Who, what, where & when.
The answers for Teaser 4 are as follows:
WHO: Jason Plato
WHAT: Pontiac Grand Prix / Bintcliffe Sport
WHERE: Rockingham Motor Speedway
WHEN: 2002
Congrats to Claire for being the first person to solve the complete question!
At the moment, John leads the league with 2 correct answers, while Claire and Racefan_uk each have 1.
Will have to make it a little bit harder this time *AGAIN*, so...
HereÃ*s another one... Again, the clues are all there if you know where to look. Remember ñ I will need those four pieces of information from you:
WHO: driver name
WHAT: the chassis, engine & team
WHERE: circuit at which the action took place
WHEN: the year the action took place
So hereÃ*s the next little teaser ñ good luck!

errrrr, nope... :) Well, both of you have got the Silverstone bit right though, which I'm quite impressed with.
Speedy King - the drivers in this quiz have competed in the BTCC at some point or are currently competing in the BTCC, so that's the starting clue!
I don't remember Rubinho ever having driven in the BTCC, in the '89 F3 (he drove in 1991) or even having a helmet like that... Got to give you the credit for trying, though! :)

David Brabham in a Ralt VW, Silverstone 1989?
1989's what I guessed for the year, so I just picked the champion.
John

At least you havent asked us to identify the car following as well!! :p
I'm off to search the web for all #10 cars in the past 15 years..... I may be some time!!! (On the other hand I expect I'll give up after 10 minutes)

I have to be honest - that's exactly where I got the info from. 1989 Was 3 years before I even started watching F1, and about 8 years before I started watching F3!
Reynard

Nope - it's not David Brabham. ;)
His helmet was dark blue and white and the car he drove was plastered all over with Jewson sponsorship. Not just that, the '89 cars were a different shape to this one.
I started watching F3 in 1988 - the first full season that Paul Warwick did - and I've been following it ever since! :)

Team: No
Year: No
You're very close and on the right track, but I can't accept that as a complete answer. Keep trying :)

Arnold Racing
Dallara
Fiat
????????????
Reynard
4th Mar 2003, 07:57 PM
Nope, sorry, nice try, but it's not 1993 and it's not the Dallara... :)
The shape of the Dallara nose is completely different - the clue is the nose. (Had to say that given it's nearly Red Nose day!)

I've gone through my pile of junk and dug out a picture of Warren in the Arnold Developments Dallara 933-Fiat. Although the pic is not very good, you can see that it is NOT the same as the teaser photo! :)

But if they're too easy if u dont come on line for a while you'll have missed it (or in your case missed four!!) :p

Nobody has missed much me being absent, my guessing, like the England cricket team, wouldn't trouble the scorers. Don't you miss a lot being offline or away for a few days.

John - and you've got the year right :)
C'mon guys - just another little effort
John
5th Mar 2003, 08:29 PM

Stuart
5th Mar 2003, 08:30 PM

At last!!! :)
Well done John for being the first person to give the complete correct answer.
The next renewal of Who, what, where & when will be posted shortly... (need to rummage around on my PC for something suitable) ;)
Current standings in the Who, what, where & when league are:
1) John (3)
2) Racefan_UK (1)
3) Claire (1)
Depending on the uptake, there may be a suitable recompense for the champion! :)
John
5th Mar 2003, 08:41 PM
U can give that one to Stuart I reckon cos he got most of the bits right, I just had a lucky guess on the year (based on the fact it wasnt 1991 or 93) then once Stuart had said the car I went to Google!! (So think I should be DSQed from that round!!) ;)
Reynard
5th Mar 2003, 08:48 PM
Fair enough, I shall give it to Stuart - glad to see someone being honest... :) However, most of the clues were already in previous posts, but then again...
So, the revised scores stand as follows:
1) John (2)
2) Racefan_UK (1)
3) Claire (1)
4) Stuart (1)
The next renewal of Who, what, where & when will be posted shortly... Watch this space!
Stuart
5th Mar 2003, 08:49 PM
Ok.....I'm on a mission now!
Warren Hughes
Ralt RT36 Honda Mugen / Neil Brown (bit of a guess....)
Edenbridge Racing
Silverstone 1992 (GP Support race??)
Oops... note to self...refresh screen when coming back online....
Reckon Edenbridge must have tried every engine going in '92!
Reynard
5th Mar 2003, 08:51 PM
Call it a day shall we :)
here's the correct answer:
WHO: Warren Hughes
WHAT: Ralt VW-Spiess RT36 (Edenbridge)
WHERE: Silverstone (where else in the peeing rain???)
WHEN: 1992 British GP support race
Warren actually won the race - probably the biggest single win in his career.
