Just realised if Gareth Howell runs this Sunday at Brands Hatch in the third TD car - it will be the first time in his career in the main class he will have done so.

2002 joined at round 2
2003 he joined mid-season
2004 didn't run at all
2005 joined mid-season

I assume you mean it will be the first time he has competed in the first meeting, rather than at Brands Hatch.

But yes, you have a point. I'm afraid it looks like different year, same story. Hope he gets out though!

Autosport have him confirmed for the first four meetings.

Yes I hope we get to see him out on the field driving at some point in the season

That was from Media Day and hastily put into the mag for last week's edition. However, Gareth has posted himself on this very Forum setting the record straight. Apparently (as per the thread) it hadn't been a done deal on the 28th, there was still work to do.

Untill he announces it on BTCC.Net then nothing is for certain. I do reckon though he's got a good chance of being on the grid for Sunday (if he hasn't shot himself in the foot by announcing his drive BEFORE it was agreed).
