I think Seat will miss Thompson when he is driving in the WTCC! Darren Turner Is a class driver but has never raced a front wheel drive car before(according to his driver profile).
What do you guys think?

Definately miss him, he is one of the best touring car drivers around and probably the best in the BTCC alog with JP so I think they are gonna miss him

I think they might. Thompson has prooved Seat's decision to bring him in for 6 meetings this year. It's not surprising with his knowledge of British circuits, FWD cars and the BTCC as a whole.
I'm sure that Darren Turner is a very capable driver, but as we've found from other new drivers to FWD and BTCC, it takes a little time to settle in and find your feet.
I'm sure he's itching to go though. Having to wait 3 meetings to get a proper go would be enough for anyone. This may give him the drive and energy to go out there and do really well at Thruxton.
Only time will tell I suppose.

I think they will miss him. He's scored quite a few points for them so far.
No disrespect to Darren Turner though, from what i've seen he's a pretty good driver.

I don't think it's any disrespect to Darren Turner that SEAT will miss Jimmy T. He has been one of the top 3 drivers in the BTCC in the new-era and the Plato/Thommo line-up is the best in the field.
I'm really excited to see what Turner does this year and I hope he will earn the right to a full-time drive in the future. We need more international stars like him! :D

It's good to see a driver of quality in the BTCC, be interesting to see how Plato reacts when Turner whips his **** after a couple of races.

Well I have my doubts about the whipping bit - but I have a suspicion that DT will be a very good no. 2 for Jason once he gets settled in. I haven't particularly followed his progress in his GT outings but I did see him in ASCAR back in 2002 and I don't think that lack of spherical bits will be an issue!!;)
PS Unfortunate use of a capital M in the title - who is Miss Thompson? More seriously - yes of course they will miss him (James that is).

The team may lose a few manufacturer points, but JP wont miss him. Hes used to carrying the fight by himself, he didnt get alot of help from his team mates last season did he?

He did'nt get hardly anyhelp from his teammates last year, but its a pitty Thommo is'nt racing all the while as JP and JT work together so well on the track

im glad thommo is doing at least some rounds, i would be gutted if all the wtcc races clashed with the btcc ones next year.
if plato is in the title hunt at the last round, maybe seat could bring in tarquni or rydell as well to help out! (everyone start e-mailing seat and drop a few hints);)
