has anyone been caught on camera (on tv) in the crowd or in the background?

i was caught at thuroxton when plato had his punture in race2 last weekend. only saw my mug for a second! (the viewing figures must of went up at that point:D )

hope its on the dvd!

I was on camera at Both Brands and Thruxton, but it was so blurred I only knew it was me because of where I was on the track at the time!

How do you work that one out?
Just because I dont sit there all day with the BTCC highlights DVD on slow motion trying to see if I'm on a camera shot dont mean your not a fan of the BTCC does it.

I was on camera for the whole of the 1st and 2nd podium at Snetterton last year.
I've also been on it when they were interviewing Dan Eaves..I didn't even notice..I looked well stupid! lol:o

At Snetterton 2003, I was standing at the gate by the pit lane and Diana Binks was interviewing one of the Formula Renault drivers for TV. When I got home and watched the footage I had recorded from Motors TV, there I was in the background :D

My wife, eldest son (youngest wasn't born) appeared in Autosport sitting at the front of the old Grandstand at the top of Paddock hill at Brands in 1995, In 2000 when the BBC sti;; showed coverage, Charle Cox, John Watson and the young lady whose name escapes me were intoducing the programme as a voice over as the camera panned around the pit walkabout starting with my eldest getting a driver's autograph, then with a masterful bit of camera work it then showed Charlie etc. walking into the pitlane as they spoke, with myself waliking down the pitlane behind them youngest son on my shoulders and my eldest beside us on his way to get that autograph. Still haven't worked out if it was time travel (all of about 10 seconds or bad continuity on the BBC's part.:D
When Matt Neal crashed at Brands this year we were sitting at the front of the banking at paddock but only appeared as a blurr.
WTCC at Brands My youngest and I can be seen standing watching the cars coming out of Druids in a photo in Motorsport News. Again a blurr in the tv coverage did get a clear shot of our tent though.

I've seen myself on camera quite often................but then again I have been marshalling at BTCC meetings for a few years ;)

rare as I usually end up standing behind the cameraperson at Duffus (knockhill) saw myself in one of the phots from oulton, then again I was easy enough to spot. not many peeps wear saltires in Engerlund:p

In a picture, which was on this site, it's of Chilton passing Thompson, I think.
You can see my brother & cousin sitting down and can see half of my dads body lol, then you can see from the neck down of me..whilst I was taking a picture.
It's pretty cool seeing yourself on camera and stuff..lol

For a couple of years ago 2001 i think,were the grand finale always is holden Mantorp Park in the Swedish Touring Car Championship.After the gridshow it was time for all the people to return to the paddock.Well on the way back the king of Sweden who:) lead the "musicaltrain" (who played the nationalsong)i walked straight in to the king in front of the tv cameras!

Been on a few times unfortunately last occasion at Silverstone sitting in a rather sparsely populated grandstand so no one else to deflect the cameras!!

The STCC series are the swedish version of BTCC.I think almost the whole series are rubbish since they took away supertouring era.All these memories from super era...well i´ll see if i could find some info for you!
