Lets see!
For me, it has to be 2000, that Mondeo of Reid, Rydell and Menu was awesome!

Not being biased or anything but I do agree 100%. The Mondeo's finally came good. 93 wasn't too bad either where Radisich finished third in the Mondeo and only competed in the second half of the season.

What od you mean by 'modern era'? If it were just a choice from the post-Super Touring years I'd choose 2002, closely followed by 2004.

I know its not an option but The best seasons of the Super Touring era were for me 95, 94 then 98.

The very best drivers, excellent battles between drivers and manufactures, in the good old days when we got to see every drivers reactions thanks to the in car cameras. Excellent BBC footage, excellent commentary. And true Variaty and effort from the Manufactures, We had 4, 5 and 6 Cylinders, FWD, RWD, 4WD (In 96/7 anyway), Ex F1 Drivers, an international field, and manufactures who were pushing the envolope (ie Money wasnt an issue so no Seletape Specials).

For me, it has to be 2004. Plenty of cars on the grid first of all. Then you had quick Honda's, Vauxhall's, Seat's and MG's not to mention fights further down the field with older Vauxhall's, Alfa's, BMW's and Proton's. We had reverse grids, 3 short races with no pit stops breaking up the action and Ried and Turkington never gave a boring race. Finally, the championship was decided by 1 single point and Thompson beat Muller. What more could you want?!

For me 1999, it had the great cars of the Laguna, S40, Primera Accord etc and the drivers were all top class amazing especially Laurent Aiello, Rydell and Leslie, They were my favs back then, oh and Plato too

I can't remember exact seasons..but around the time when Frank Beila was in the Audi & Tim Harvey in the Peugeot 406 etc
Those were the good ol' days!
I watch those video's over and over again & don't get bored of them..
Whereas I'm already bored with the 2005 dvd! lol

I think you mean 98 not 100% sure though, because that was one of my favourite seasons when Harvey was in the 406 and when Rydell won it

I remember that. I thought the Mondeo looked the business when it appeared and Radisich was one of my favourite drivers in the BTCC.

Final race at Brands was quite entertaining, peeing down and drivers struggling to keep the car on the tarmac! :D

One of my favourite seasons recently was 2003. Lots of cars on the grid, and I especially remember the great meeting at Rockingham. It was also my first visit to Oulton Park, for the title decider.
