Well the correct answer was John Cleland, Tuscan, Knockhill, 1992 (June if you want to be accurate!)

That means Reynard was correct - no idea how, because that was an impossible one! Have a gold star for cleverness then! ;)

I've been following Tuscans for a while, so I dated it using details on the car as the car has been subtly changed and updated since the championship first started in 1989.

Then let's just say that I'm good at identifying helmets! :)

Though I will say that this wasn't an easy one to crack - took me two days to do it, but it was fun trying to find out the answer...
