Maybe they wanted to keep them for future development. The best way to find out is to email them RF.

proton aren't selling their 2002 cars because they are using them as test cars for their 2 young malaysian drivers, with the possilbility of them running a 3rd car later in the year for either of them if they do well in testing.
that was what i read somewhere a while back.

Ahh right I see, mind you, I don't think I would want the 2002 Protons, they weren't great!

Yeah, but if they were to sell them thats another 2 possible cars on the grid.

theres enough btc touring cars on the scrap heap. we don't wanna add another 2 protons, at least this way they are being used.
aren't minardi using yoong as a test driver?

ive been thinking about proton, and seen as they are very often the quickest through the speed traps, the only reason for thyre lack of results (im not knocking proton, but honda were in the same boat as tem at the start) the impian must have a not soo good chassis and the handlg must be not all theyre, im not sure but thats what i think, it dosent look particularl aerodynamic either.

Do PSP actually have any test drivers that they could use in a third/fourth car??

they've got 2 young malaysian test drivers, proton could run a third car for one of them later in the year

I understand that they are using them as test cars this year, with a view to racing them maybe during the latter half of the year!

But with the very limited testing is it worth having test cars?

Proton have a lot of catching up to do, every little helps I suppose :)

I think they should just change their car; the Impian has a daft name and seems a bit too bulky.

Is there a suitable car? The car is nice, but its a Proton :p

Anyway, isn't it just the same size as the ZS?

the proton should be a lot better this year.
david leslie is one of the best car sorters in the business and they are making lots of changes to the impian.

Is the Satria GTI to short?

Steve Wood raced the Satria in BTC-P in the last few meetings of 2001, so I don't think it's too short.

The way to go seems to be smaller cars like the civic which looks to be the best.

Nah, the Satria is too small! It's the size of a Fiesta!!!

the satria is the same size as he civic.
theres no point in proton switching to another model at this stage in the developement of the impian.
if the impian doesn't improve this year then they should consider it.
