For those of you who haven't seen the race yet - WATCH IT! I'll not post the result because it ****es me off when people tell me the result of fly away races before I see them, but its worth watching.

And if you don't know the result yet than keep it that way as it wasn't settled til late in the race.

Its repeated on ITV1 at 1.30 and there are highlights at about 00.30 tonight.

Finally a bit of an interesting race! :)

Poor Justin Wilson, he was doing well (ie, not running at the back despite being in a minardi) and it wasn't his fault he retired. :(

Dont know if it was just cos of the safety car but the whole field seemed more compact - usually most of the guys not in a Mclaren, Williams or Ferrari are lapped, and remember in 98 when McLaren basically lapped everyone?!?

I still dropped off to sleep in the middle but the begining and end was pretty good!

Yeah I watched the rerun as well and dont remember Kimis trip across the grass or MSs car falling apart the first time around, so think I might have nodded off - but it was a stupid time so thats my excuse!

I managed to stay awake for the whole race!! And I got up at a suitably stupid hour yesterday to watch qualifying. Mind you I'm feeling a bit frazzled now!

I thought it was a super race, so much overtaking at the beginning and a real suspense about who was actually going to win. I thought all 3 of the guys on the podium deserved to win.

And amazing to think that the winner and third place started 10th and 15th on the grid!!

Can't wait til round 2!

Well Kimi wasn't even in 15th was he because he started in the pit lane, and without that drive through could have won it! Cant be many examples of that - there was RB in Germany 2000 but he was 16th or 18th I think.

Hopefully it stays as interesting! :)

And what about Heidfeld and Fisi. Nick Highfled made a terrfic start. And altough Fisi didn't make much of an imp[act in ther race, if the fuel flap had of opened, he would have left the pits before both Renualts, and Sauber's

Well done DC + HH Frentzen

That was the best race i have seen in ages

I may have dozed off through a lot of my mammouth qualifying viewing session in the early hours of Saturday but I was wide awake for the race!

The weather has as much if not more to do with the race result than the new regs imo but whatever the cause, thank heavens for an action filled race!

I liked the additonal on board camera angles we got too - I can't help swaying a bit when we've got a forward facing shot as we hammer round the track!

And how much am I loving DC leading the drivers champ & McLaren the constructers?! :D Long may it continue.
