Rick Kerry eyeing up the BTCC for 2007

In my local rag Rick Kerry is saying he is 50% of the way getting the budget for BTCC next year. He is two times champ in the Kumo BMW Racing Drivers club and is saying he is thinking of a series 1 BMW and tweaking it.

I've often wondered if a 1 series BMW would be any good in the BTCC. Seems to be the right aerodynamic shape.

The 1 Series is about the same size as a Ford Focus, right? It would be quite interesting but maybe he'd be better off with simply buying a car from somewhere.

It's always good to see new drivers with new cars on the grid, I just hope he can pull the budget together
