Having read through older posts in this forum (http://www.btcc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2880) I have noticed that although you have said there is not a conflict of interest between your role as BTCC championship administrator and Chairman of the MSA, surely there is potential for a conflict to be seen?
The Peterborough Motor Club have had a race date at silverstone for the past 56 years. 2007's was to be the 22nd April, but they have lost this date due to Silverstone holding it open for your championship. Silverstone are STILL holding this date and so the Peterborough MC have lost their chance for a race meeting this year.
As a supporter of both club motorsport and the BTCC I find it disappointing that the Championship run by the Chairman of the MSA is trampling all over the smaller clubs, surely you should be setting a good example and working with clubs rather than against them?
