Still no official entry list yet.
On Westies forum, He said it would be published mid to late this week.
Does this means there are problems or am I being uneccessarily pessimistic?

I know it says that there, but from my information, it will all be revealed on Media Day which is under 2 weeks away now.

I think Cleland Fan is right the entry list will be announced on Media Day. Not too much longer to wait!

Bit unusual isn't it? Usually they announce it before Media Day!?

Probably because it doesnt make good reading at present. There are a lot of question marks and 'possibles' at the minute which hopefully will turn into confirmations in the next two weeks (well they better had!) :)

I think my usual policy will prevail - see who is on the grid at the first race!!:)

Media day may be the turning point, but entries seem to turn up after then.

I'd make that the 3rd or 4th race - there always seems to be a late starter or two

You are both right of course - never ending some years!!!

It would be nice just to see an official list though wouldn't it folks!;)

Certain websites have the latest lists posted on them stating which are confirmed, likely or possible. Thats the best thats on offer at the minute - but on past experience those lists are a pretty accurate guide.

if the closing date for entries was march 10th then surely no other cars can enter now, so the entry list must be finished.

There are always late entries. And do you think Westie would turn down a team who want to join after March 10th? Dont think we're in a position to do that just yet! :(

couldn't agree more that the btcc isn't in a position to turn down entries, so why have a closing date then?

Dunno - suppose you need to at least pretend to have a deadline so that the likes of Vauxhall, MG, Honda etc confirm their plans at an early stage, this can then be used to try and attract other manufacturers before the season starts - well in theory anyway

You gotta have a deadline or it could end up going on forever!! Teams need to have a target to work to.

teams do need to have deadline to work to but you can't expect every team to be ready at the same time because they all work at different speeds.

:) that's probably the best policy to take Alan.

An entry list would be nice for a good outline of how hings are going.
