A little... big brother?

I've just registered on here and I'm glad to see an official BTCC forum, but it's a little disappointing...

No avatars, no signatures... it's a little hard to express team allegiance because of it.

I know the odd moron sometimes pops up and has a signature bigger than the screen, but surely having a rule where users can have a 400px x 100px picture wouldn't be a problem? I mean, I can't even use the IMG tag in my post!

I may not be a moderator but you can have avatars. As some do (me included). And you can still support the teams you like via text in sigs.

The new set up is not good IMO. You need to register for the fans section then in doing that it logs you in here as a guest. I don't know if you are able to register on the vbulletin software itself.

It's still not great... 75px and only 5kb...

And text in sigs looks nowhere near as good as images :(

I know its not good but its the best we are getting atm As you can tell I campaigned for bigger avatars before so.

The simple layout and not letting people get carried away with images is the reason I keep coming back. Sigs are pointless, put the info in your profile. If anyone cares, they can look there.

same here, i have uploaded an avatar & have a signature, yet neither are visible unless you visit my profile... is there like so many days you have to be registered before it allows this?
