It seems he's not happy with the current F1 qualifying format - 'too boring'.
I admit that it may not be quite as good as the old last minute dashes the old style used to provide, but it does provide better grids for the race.
Seems that there might be yet more rule changes in F1.

Well, he could let them run qualifying fuel loads & then we'd know who was really fast & able to pull off a great lap, and who is playing the strategy game.

but then all we would have is back to boring old Ferraris at the front. I like it like this - you never know what is going to happen.

he probably doesnt realise that for the viewers at home its a good way to see every driver and every team pushing to get a good lap, with non stop action, but for the spectators at the track it's probably a little dry.

I agree with Ann, the edge is taken off it slightly. Instead of something unusual like:
"ALONSO IS FASTEST!!!!!"
You get:
"ALONSO IS FASTEST, but he's probably not actually because there could be a low fuel load in that car. Yep, that's probably it, he'll drop back in the race, he hasn't got a hope".
They could easily impound the cars and just let them refuel on race day. It wouldn't have grids that are AS jumbled as the first two have been, but they still wouldn't be as predictable as last year.
