so we may have a pretty good field of touring class cars but what about the production class? i think that there is only 5 confirmed entries. that's not as impressive as last year.

I am sure all will become clear on Media Day ~ not long to wait!

I'm surprised that the Production class is so thin at this stage.
I wonder how much of an effect the new Production Saloon Championship might have once it kicks into gear. The cars will be similar types but a lot cheaper to run.
Not trying to be a scaremonger but Prod Saloons in the eighties was huge. At one point it was suggested it replaced the BTCC...
I think there is room for both BTC Production and Production Saloons, but is there enough sponsorship to go around?

i'm hoping there will be between 10 and 15 production cars this year, all will become clear on media day.

Earlier in the close season, Richard West said there would be no more than 10, due to the increase of Tourers. Now that the Touring Class has not expanded as much as hoped, there will be more spaces for Production Class cars. I predict we will see between 12-14 on the grid this season.
