Quite right too. Personally I am slightly dissapointed they would sell out a corner with a significant name attached to it.

Agreed from someone who has going to Knockie for a number of years-me and my mates still refer to all the corners by their original names.

I havent heard anything about this, but is it just selling corner names to the highest bidder to get more cash or something like that? Really hope it isnt or if the circuits arent careful they'll end up going down the us route, sears point is now infineon raceway, laguna seca is mazda raceway etc.

I don't mind tracks selling corner names to make much needed money, it won't change what I call the corners though :)

I think that's exactly the point. To me Knockhill consists of corners such as Duffus, Clark and Taylors.
However given that Knockhill is a relatively small business, if giving a company naming rights for a couple of years, helps fund improvements to the circuit then so be it.

I agree totally with John Cleland yes the track has to make money but in the early days the corners were named after drivers that had contributed to scottish motorsport and okay to most the names Duffus, Taylors, McIntyres wouldnt mean a lot but Jim Clark was probably scotland's best driver and that curve should have remained named in his memory
