It seems that the factory MG and Morgan teams have not been included in this years entry list.

I think this is extremely disappointing for British race supporters. Thank goodness they allowed Bentley in!

I'm very surprised about MG. Its a pity the ACO never give reasons for exclusions so we will never know why. At least I can still support my Bentley Boys!

Let the French fools carry on as they wish. It is certainly their loss. I also believe Plato, of all people, was declined an opportunity to compete this year. Not certain, but don't think his intended team made the cut with qualifying. Perhaps an informed participant could explain the intricacies.

I think his car was another that wasn't excepted as an entry.

Jason was hoping to drive for RML at Le Mans but as touring fan says the car was not accepted.

Could be completley political guys? Everyone knows we aren't frances flavor of the month at the moment.

To change the subject though, isn't that bentley really an audi? I'm genuinely not sure and not just being fasicious.

Er, yes, it is actually - but never mind that - you still can't get more British than Bentley - in heritage anyway!

The Audi and Bentley cars are completely different designs (well - different cars), despite the fact that Audi own Bentley.

Think there might have been uproar if Bentley had not been allowed in, they were 4th last year after all.

I don't believe there was actually a 'factory' MG entry for Le Mans this year anyway. So, that would be why they didn't get an entry. There were plenty of privateers entered though.

As for Morgan, they didn't show up at Sebring last month, when they had an entry, so the ACO didn't look on that as a great advert for their entry for Le Mans.

As for the Bentley, they are owned by Audi but the Bentley has been built and engineered in the UK. However, at Sebring half the mechanics spoke German as the cars are being run by Joest (Who have run the works Audi's for the last four years) and have been 'assisting' the british guys on the team.

They did turn up for Sebring - the car was sitting in the race paddock with a FOR SALE sign stuck to the windscreen on the Wednesday - see the attachment...

maybe a bit of a daft question, but were they serious or do they just have a sense of humour?

They might have been serious- the Morgan has been advertised a couple of times in Autosport.

Racesports, who ran it last year, are involved in TVR's Le Mans entries this year- the Morgan entry at LM would have been a new factory team
