I can't believe it. I actually enjoyed an F1 race. The F1 race fans are now thinking "Mocko, that's a cliche on 21st century F1". It is and I apologise but I only started watching F1 in 2001.
That race was superb, I'm very upset with how it ended with all the crashes. When Alonso crashed it looked as though it was in fast motion but man... I hope he's all right. Shame about Coulthard but that counting back is an absolute scandal. Fisi should have won.
Finally, if I was some sort of top brass in F1, I'd be putting pressure to change the wet tyre rule. Driver safety was challenged at turn three and I'd think it'd be interesting to see how much money had crashed at turn three.
It was a shame that last lap ruined the race.
Oh, and what a damned shame about Barrichello

I'm still recovering from the trauma! I know we seek excitement but I don't want to risk people being hurt to get it.
It seems ironic that the cost saving of only taking one type of wet tyres contributed to considerably more cost in wrecked machinery.
I just hope that all the drivers involved in the incidents are ok.
And can I take back all my shouting at DC to hurry up & pit because if he hadn't he would have won!

Agree with most of your comments, also thought the preceding Grand Prix this season were well worth watching. Suspect the new qualifying regulations might be mixing up the grids somewhat, which in turn means the quick boys need to slice through the field at some point if they qualified poorly.
Suggest, and welcome the opinion of better people than me, that Brazil is lucky they have a huge F1 pedigree to keep their Grand Prix, when circuits like Spa will lose theirs for political reasons. Interlagos a couple of years ago was the scene of comic efforts to remove a collapsed advertising banner. Sure the company whose name appeared thereon loved it but things like that and todays apparent drainage problem at turn three can't endear the circuit to the heirarchy and team owners. Turn three today became an expensive scrap yard. Loved Mark Webbers Priaulx type save.

Poor old Fisichella though just as it looked as him and Jorden would finally catch a break it was snatched away from them in a way that must have made their hearts sink.
Soa Palo just doesnt seem to have the safety of nowerdays tracks, it has numerous suspension and wing falures, high speed corners with no run off area and it could have ended in disaster if Shumi had hit that tractor in turn 3.

It's a pity Fisichella got in the lead because if he had been second when it was red flagged, the team and he would have been jumping up and down thinking how brilliant it was. As it is now they feel they have lost first place rather than won second place.
I still get the thought that marketing beat safety yet again. They had to run the race then - not postpone for an hour. They had to continue the race after some cars had already crashed.
but well done Kimi - 2 wins on the trot. :D

Poor Justin Wilson, is that guy ever going to make it to the end of a race? :( (I hope Alonso is okay)

The only reason they run the race there is to have a GP in South America, the track is nowhere up to standard. A couple of years ago they had power problems, and the ITV crew had a load of equipment stolen.
As far as I know each F1 car costs around £500,000, so if there were 7 or 8 cars there your looking at £4m, thats more than they would ever have saved by not taking 2 types of wet compound.

It was a bonkers race and I really enjoyed it!
I think people down the road heard my shout with joy when MS spun off!
This is one of the 4 crazyest F1 races i've ever seen!
Monaco 1996
Belgium 1998
Europe 1999
Brazil 2003

No offense to Kimi, but if anyone derved to win the race by default, it had the be Fisi. He drove well throught out the race, keeping out of trouble, and manged to over take Kimi. It would have be great to see the race to the end where I think Fisi would have been ahead of RS in third place
Did you see Eddis Jordans face, he looked so upset. What about Friman, when he suspension collapsed he was right next the Fisi on the pit lane stright, I'm sure he would have done well
What can I say about MS, I thought it was Rubens at firstt who went off.

I actually thought DC deserved tocome away with a win, he would have passed Kimi anyway.

One man goes into round 4 of the 2003 F1 world championship with 2 points less than a maximum score. It's Kimi Raikkonen. Who would have guessed that would happen before the start of the season? You've really got to start thinking now that it could be a good championship battle, and it's Michael Schumacher that's got the work to do.

Good news that Alonso is un-injured & has been released from hospital.

Well get this - I've just got back from France, skiing, and I thought, Sunday, back off the slopes, let's get an F1 fix.
They showed the delayed start, and it went uninterrupted through the first 5 or 6 laps under the safety car. Then they went to an ad break that must have lasted, I kid you not, 7 minutes. F1 comes back on and the safety car has been in for a lap! Grrrr...
Then, at about lap 16, they put the news on. And that, my friends, was that! I waited for about 20 minutes, but it didn't come back on. ****** French.

It seems the reason Barrichello retired from the race is becasue he ran out of fuel!

Come close as does Japan 1994.
My definition of a bonkers race is, wet/dry, lots of overtaking, bonzai crashes, top drivers retire (McLaren, Ferrari, Williams) and we have a surprise winner. Herbert, Panis, Hill's Jordan and Fisichella who did WIN on Sunday!
