You replied in a previous post "Both are completely separate championships using different rules, different circuits, different teams, different race formats, different tyres, different ballast systems, different drivers, some differences in the technical specifications of the cars and etc etc."

This I understand as they are different championships.
My question is, I thought the idea of adopting S2000 regs was to allow teams to run ex- WTCC machinery in the BTCC. And vice-versa. Or has the fantastic response ie full grids allowed you to be more selective as to which rule changes WTCC make you feel you need to adopt.
Not meant to be critical. Just an observation.

I think you may be confusing WTCC with S2000, which are two completely separate things;

*S2000 are the FIA technical regulations which sets the basic specification of the cars.
*WTCC is, like ourselves and some others, a championship that uses cars conforming to FIA S2000 regulations.

The WTCC, as such, do not 'write' or set the S2000 regulations, but can of course merely make some changes to them in order to suit their own unique championship circumstances.

So if the WTCC decide to make some waivers/changes to the technical specifications of the cars running in their championship, then those are unique waivers for their championship only and not applicable to any other series. (Similarly, if we make some waivers/changes to the technical regulations then they are for our championship only and not applicable to any other).

Therefore it is not a matter of being 'selective' as to what WTCC regulation changes to adopt here.....because they are merely WTCC-only waivers and not changes to the FIA S2000 regulations. Hence they are totally irrelevant and inapplicable to the BTCC, or any other championship.
