Hey all, I'm an American living in the UK for a few months and I really want to catch a BTCC race while I'm here. I don't have a car, so what's the best way to get from London to Oulton Park without breaking the bank?

Have you looked at renting a car? Hertz will do a Focus 1.6 for ?70 (I checked for collection from London Victoria Coach station) LINK HERE (https://www.hertz.co.uk/rentacar/reservation/gaq/index.jsp?targetPage=whatView.jsp)

(Legal disclaimer - Other car rental places are available,I am not an agent for, nor a representative of, Hertz Rent-a-car ltd or any of its agents lol :D )

Oulton Park is probably one of the hardest circuits to get to. Where about are you based?

That would be the case with my luck. I'm located in the Kilburn Park area of London and willing to take whatever train, bus, etc to get there. As far as renting a car, I don't know if there's a minimum age here (In the states it's 25) but I'm 22 and have never driven on the left, so would probably end up instinctively making a right turn on red and plowing into someone head on :o

If you're still in Britain at the time (July 29th), Snetterton is probably the easiest to get to using public transport. There's a station at Attleborough, which is the village near the circuit, on the main line from Cambridge to Norwich.

Hope you can make it to at least one meeting. :)

I looked my self at getting to oulton by public transport and on a Sunday the nearest bus is 3miles away. So best option is train/taxi or renting car.

Hi Mate,

I live in Chester, and there is a chance I'll be going to the Oulton Park round. pm me with your details. If you can get to Chester and I'm going, I'll give you a life mate.

Nathan.
