View Full Version : Fisi may be given the Brazilian GP

It transpires that the circuit officials have been summonsed to a meeting with the FIA in Paris this Friday, as it seems Fisi crossed the line before the race was stopped, which could effectively mean he did actually win. The result may be overturned and given to Jordan. How brilliant would that be?
Fingers crossed for EJ!

...it would have been more brilliant if they had sorted it out on raceday:rolleyes:
But still, if Fisi does get the win, what a result for Jordan on their 200th GP!

surely the computer should know what lap he was on when the big red button was pushed to stop the race? i hope he does win, Jordan really need the points and publicity.

This would indeed be good for Jordan and Fisi - but what one heck of a mess for F1!
Surely the rules are clear on this? More harm done to F1 I think if this is true.

One or two issues here. Would love EJ and "fishyfeller" to prevail, two hugely popular winners. Would Ron Dennis sit still for the amended results ? Most important of all though, Alan has a point. F1 has done itself lots of good in just the first the first three events of this season. If the result is reversed, would a possible Maclaren challenge harm all the apparent progress ? Would expect only one interpretation of the rules. The review concerns official timekeeping and at what point Fisi inherited the lead. On the upside, Alonso will survive and be fit enough for Imola.

Althought I REALLY want Fisi to win, didn't Jordan say they would appeal against the decsion. Surley Fisi and the team would if he crossed the line. But isn't this FIA finding
It's all confusing

If the man in 3rd place crashed on he start finish straight, it seems a bit obvious to check whether the leader (ie the bloke driving IN FRONT of him) had crossed the line just a little way down the road.

I have to say I was very annoyed with Alonso.
In Autosport he was asked about his speed and whether he saw the yellow flags?
'I did, all of them and the SC boards telling us that it had been deployed.................. I wanted to make sure I was close to Raikkonen and Fisichella for the restart, so I was close to full speed'
What is the point of yellow flags when he blatently ignores them?

And he'd already been pulled in for a penalty for ignoring yellow flags during that race.......
