Great to see that Will is to be honoured with a trophy to be awarded in Mondello. It will go to the driver who, in the opinion of the judges, produces the most spirited drive in either of the races.

See the Toca news section for more details.

it would be great if us fans could vote on it as well.

and from the way it the release is worded it sounds as if I will be holidaying in Ireland for some years to come :)

I'm so pleased Will is being remembered like this. Whenever, someone holds that trophy aloft, I can picture Will being beaming down at it from heaven.

Really good news- I watched Will race many times over about 15 years in everything from touring cars to Group C sportscars to a tiny (1-litre turbo) Daihatsu Charade production saloon (!), and it's good to see that something's being done in memory of one of the great characters of British motor racing

I saw Will driving the Daihatsu in the 86 Willhire 24hrs.
I think that pretty much sums up the spirit of the man really.
He was one of the most down to earth drivers I've ever met - just happy to be competing no matter what he drove.
This trophy couldn't be more fitting.

I'm very glad that he is to be remembered in that way. Also, the format of it being a Mondello-BTCC thing is also good if he kicked off the BTCC's reach to Ireland.

Nice words Invincible.

This was won by Alan Morrison - and very well deserved it was too.
