James Thompson - 2003 Preview

I am suprised no one has said anything about this programme which has been shown on Motors TV several times this week.

An excellent 1/2 hours viewing, starting with James speaking about his touring car career, then it progressed into a more general preview of the 2003 season, who is in it and so forth, including James' ideas of who the competition is going to be (YM and Matt in case you were wondering, although he does not write off Paul O'Neill).

James came over very well I thought - well done to Motors TV!!

Not a bad use of 1/2 hour. It was good to see tv footage of many of the new cars and hear from the characters.

Although, I must admit, the production of the programme left a little bit to be desired. For example, James Thompson was talking about Matt Neal being a challenge to him, yet they showed footage of Tom Chilton!

Still, it will be Ben, Tim and Vicky from Mondello onwards!

I must ask James about his Abercombie t-shirt on Sunday.

I hadn't really seen the new Vauxhall race gear. That's a real change for them as they have been very plain for the last few years.

i too thought the programme was excellent, maybe they can do a couple more driver profiles, theres one on laurant aiello as well.

Diana Binks (she used to present Superbikes on ITV Sport Channel, and does some stuff for Sky) is going to be their other reporter in the pits and paddock.

...I'm pretty sure she has a boyfriend. ;)
