The car was last seen being driven by Pete Stevens in the late nineties in formula saloons. I believe it is reckoned to one of the most successful Saloon cars in British motorsport history!

John Cleland won Thundersaloons and the BTCC in 1989 - personally I couldn't believe he switched to FWD and such a small car (Astra GTE). Couldn't have been more wrong hey!
