Mat Jackson is the new Rob Collard......haha, when will this man shut his mouth. Good advertising for halfords on the front page though, suppose that's what happens when you use their 'we'll fit it' service. :D

Also said something about the rookies coming from the formulas and thinking they have a reputation when they haven't. Also that Murray was thinking of quitting BTCC but i think that was in Autosport.

Oh man I hope not! I love seeing the small guys mix it with the big teams.
I know the cost implication will probably be a big factor in his decision. Maybe its about time some of the big sponsors look at what there missing closer to home!!
I read more sponsors names at a BTCC event then anything other racing.

i read that

am sorry to hear about Eoin, he has bags of potential, but not a bankful of dosh.

i actually want Halfords to run out of sponsership money, so they have to leave the BTCC =]

When are you gonna learn that Team Halfords will not run out of money cos they have got Team Dynamics to fall back on and they had raced for years as Team Dynamics so i dont see that there would be a problem if they went back to being Team Dynamics

read the article in this weeks Autosport.

Steve said 'This could cost us dear. we are all looking at sponsership at this time of year and if we fail to turn out it could be Bye Bye Team Halfords'

Didnt you listen to Robbo, If they cant keep Halfords, they will fall back into Team Dynamics, But incase you never look at their cars, its littered with sponsors, So please get over it!!! Your going to see Matt & Steve Neal back next year, most likely with Gordon Shedden back on the team aswell!!

its a shame the btcc made the front headlines of motorsport news for the wrong reasons

yeah ted i agree with you and that's when my statement comes in regarding people who start something they just can't stop - its getting a bit out of hand now.

At the end of the day health comes before anything and at this moment in time he seems to be more concerned about everything but his son's health - Matt should be the centre of attention here not the Jackson's - so Steve come on, no more hard feelings if you read this - it is over and done with!

Poor Pinkney sounded like he could hardly move on the phone in his TTT interview!

I tried moving on the phone once and I agree it can be very uncomfortable.

Cassandra - - you're back to your daft ways again - we're talking seriously now regarding Dave and his injuries and yes Les I should have mentioned Dave in my previous post

Honestly, he should quit before he moves even further behind. "The new Rob Collard" what utter garbage.

personally I'm not surprised. Team Halfords / Team dynamics are always complaining about something, they're almost as bad as Plato. I think possibly old age has got to Neal Snr's head. Collard's driving was a little erratic I agree, but to pin the blame for what happened on poor Mat Jackson is beyond a joke, on TV it looked like a racing incident (which lets face it there is a lot of on a damp track) and it was just very unfortunate that it happened when and where it did.

Obviously it is a very serious incident especially with people having had to get medical attention and so many now be absent for Knockhill, and i definitly dont think that Neal's comments are appropriate or wanted at this time

Mat was stupid for going onto the grass at the start though, would have been ok if he'd missed the painted tarmac. Loads are absent for knockhill, should be a good few races.

Agree completely Laura. ;) Its just getting way way out of hand now. Just read MN and I wish he would just STOP, because the comments are just nasty and extremely derogatory. He's not doing the sport or his team any favours and the sooner someone in authority tells him to zip it, the better.

I feel it has got to a point now though where he will ostracise himself, or something to that effect - people aren't going to bother with him, acknowledge either him or the team and the situation is becoming more and more out of hand.

He will end up contradicting himself though when he gets to a certain point of hatred or whatever the emotion he is feeling is - we don't know, he probably has 20 different emotions racing round his body at the moment, which isn't making him think straight cos at the end of the day if it turned round to another accident where his team was to blame and Matt Neal was in the wrong, he would be the first to complain that everyone was bullying him, so come on Steve...take a back seat now and let it rest - it's gone on for long enough and I honestly think, us fans, who are the ones that pay to cheer you and the rest of the lads on at the end of the day...are getting pretty sick of it!

I think hes quite right to be angry. The crash cost Matt any chance of a 3rd title, totalled a car and gives the team a huge task to build a new car for the next race.

You have to remember the press will be more willing to print something that will cause arguments than the usual race reports/interviews. They are also very good at miss quotes.

To be fair to MN, the story you are talking about was in addition to its race report (which it always carries), ie. it didn't substitute its race report for this news story (and why would it)...?

I think he's just pissed that Mat's unlikely to get into the top 3 (team orders.... ) and is looking for excuses and scapegoats now.

It's looking like it'll be

1/2 Plato/Giovanardi
3 Shedden

But Steve Neal won't let that happen, I reckon he'll tell Shedden to back off and be wingman but I think Flash deserves a podium this year.

Yes I know that I didnt mean that they hadnt done a race report. MN is an excellent publication.
I meant that sometimes the press will give coverage of the things that will cause controversy even if the person being interviewed talked about other things. Its what gets people to buy the publications who usually wouldnt.
